  • A comprehensive evaluation will be completed by a licensed physical therapist. This will consist of a thorough history and physical examination, which will enable the therapist to get a better understanding of your condition and create a personalized plan of care.

  • After your initial evaluation is completed your physical therapist will develop a treatment plan that will target your specific problem area.

  • Your progressed will be re-assessed at each visit by your treating physical therapist. Your program will be modified to obtain maximum benefit from each physical therapy visit.

  • Your initial examination may take up to 1.5 hours including the necessary registration paperwork and the full evaluation.

    Follow-up visits usually last 45-60 minutes. Treatment time will vary according to your condition and current level of function.

  • It is recommended that you contact your insurer prior to starting physical therapy to ensure that you do have coverage and that you understand your co-payments and deductibles, if any.

  • If you would like insurance to cover the treatment most insurance companies require a physician referral.

    If you want to pay out of pocket a physician referral is not required and you can contact our office directly to schedule an appointment.

  • Please dress in comfortable clothes that allow easy access to the area of treatment. We can provide a gown to be worn during the session if that is preferred.

  • Yes! We will pay for your parking with a full validation for the time you are in physical therapy. The entrance to the parking garage is on Makaloa St. Visitors can park on the 2nd and 4th floors.

  • While in physical therapy some patients may notice an increase in symptoms after treatment. If you have any questions or concerns please contact your treating physical therapist.

  • At ORS we have well trained and competent physical therapists. To ensure our new patients are seen as soon as possible they are scheduled at the most convenient time available for the patient, depending on available opening in the schedule. If you wish to see a particular therapist or must have a particular day and time you may have to wait several days to get an appointment.
